He worked at 4 different Print Companies and Print Groups gaining new and more experience along the way.

He was Production Manager at The Page Media Group for 13 years and moved on to Production Manager at Lynhurst Press ( a winner of many Print Week awards and recommendations ). Three years  later  he joined Bridge and Company as Production Manager in 2005.

Alex Miller

Alex does not have Rob’s years of experience in the print trade, though he did help out in the print room in school holidays and is a very fast learner adding finance and customer service experience to the Company.

Alex gained all his Customer service experience from 4 years in the Pub and restaurant Trade. He began working in pubs when he was 18 as a barman and over the years, experienced all elements of the trade, by being waiter, Chef, Head Chef, Team Leader, Assistant Manager and an interim Manager. After four years of working long hours and hard shifts, and being in a long term relationship, Alex decided he wished for a more ‘hour friendly job’ and secured a position in a construction firm within the accounts department. In his 4 and a half years working here he gained valuable accounting experience, enrolled in evening classes to gain his AAT qualification and also managed to purchase his first home. In 2013 Alex was asked by Rob if he wanted to join the family business and he jumped at the chance. Since then he has been learning the different print processes and all elements of print that he can and he is more than capable of handling the needs of the customers and has enough knowledge to answer most questions that are asked of him.

With his customer service experience and Finance background, Alex has proved a valuable member of the Bridge Team and works closely with his Father to offer some of the best quality service that any client could ask for.

Bridge & Company was first established by Robert Bridge and the Bridge Family in 1898. Beginning by just scribing letters and Certificates Robert Bridge slowly grew the business into a print company offering fantastic quality.

In 1934 the first of the Harris Family joined the company taking over from Robert Bridge in the form of Cecil Jackson Harris. During the Second World War, Helena and Winnie Harris kept the company alive while the men were at war, after which Cecil returned joined by Bill, Henry and Eddie Harris.

In 1960, at the age of 14, a young Mike Harris began his journey. Over the years he built the company into a thriving business with a shop front and factory in the basement.

For 108 Years we were located in Chancery Lane near Fleet Street. But then in 2006 we moved to a larger facility near Liverpool street station where we have been situated at since. This space allowed room for growth and more machinery allowing Bridge to offer the wide of services that it now can. The stationery shop was retired and instead moved completely online to keep up with the ever evolving times.

2011 Came and a new Robert, Robert Miller was at the helm. After working with Mike for 8 years, he was handed the keys and purchased the goodwill of this historic Company.

Four years on and still going strong, Bridge is now a limited company, has clients going back 50 years and they are growing more and more each year. Robert Miller has over 40 years’ experience in Print and Bridge & Company Limited is now again a Family company, as his son Alex Miller Joined the ranks in 2013.

With a wealth of experience and years of history, Bridge & Company can offer both High Quality Products along with an outstanding service. No job is too small and whether your job is worth £50 or £5000 the level of service provided will always be the same.
